Embracing Discipline: A Journey of Faith and Scripture

At Scribed Grace, we're passionate about connecting with God through His Word, and this year, the word "discipline" has taken on a special significance for me personally. I'm focusing on cultivating discipline in my spiritual, financial, and physical life, believing that a stronger spiritual foundation will naturally lead to greater discipline in other areas. After all, when our heart's desire is to please God in every aspect of our lives, discipline becomes an act of worship.

One key way I'm pursuing spiritual discipline is by immersing myself in God's Word. Reading, studying, and, of course, writing Scripture are essential practices for me. As many of you know, writing out Scripture helps me retain and internalize it more effectively—it's the very inspiration behind Scribed Grace!

A couple of years ago, I embarked on an ambitious journey: writing out the entire New Testament in chronological order. I was consistently engaged with this writing plan for quite some time, diligently working through the texts. However, as often happens, life's demands and other projects pulled me away, and I temporarily set this goal aside.

This year, I'm recommitting to my word of the year—discipline—and striving to complete this New Testament writing plan by the end of the year. It's a challenging but rewarding endeavor, deepening my understanding of God's Word and strengthening my connection with Him.

If you're also interested in exploring the New Testament through a chronological reading and writing plan, you're in luck! We've made a helpful printable available right here at Scribed Grace. It's a wonderful tool for anyone looking to engage with Scripture in a fresh and meaningful way. Join me on this journey of discipline and discover the transformative power of writing God's Word.
